We are very pleased to let you all know that last night Home won the Employer of the Year at the Auckland Business Awards. For our Empowerment Team, this award is particularly special and we were very honoured to receive this award alongside such worthy finalists.
We are far from a perfect employer and we're always looking for opportunities to improve, but this is certainly a signal that we are on the right track. We are so grateful for our tangata (people) and they are the heart of the why and how of this kaupapa. Without our people, our partners and our customers, both past and present, none of what has been achieved in the last decade would have been possible.
A shout out and kai pai to the Auckland Business Chamber who postponed the awards several times and have persisted in seeing this take place. Your work will surely be rewarded!

After two thwarted attempts to host in-person celebrations of the first 10 years of Home, like so many other events, we have had to pivot and celebrate via an online platform.
We know that this online experience is not the same as coming together in person, but we have tried to get it as close as possible. We invite you to take the time to hear and see the story of Home and find out where we are headed next as we continue to outwork our vision of building flourishing communities across Aotearoa and beyond.

Following on from the success of our latest mixed-tenure development - The Residences at Karamū, we are incredibly excited to announce our next development, Te Pākau Maru. This resident-focused development is being brought to the market by a development consortium, of which Home is part. We’re delighted that Home will deliver the construction of these Homestar 6 and 7 homes.
Purchase preference will be given to first-home buyers and owner-occupiers. Prices start at $550,000. If you or someone you know is keen to get early notice on when these new two, three, and four-bedroom homes will be available to purchase, click on the link below and fill in the quick form.

During the month of February, we partnered with our friends at Habitat for Humanity New Zealand to fundraise for those most effected by the tsunami that devastated Tonga at the beginning of 2022. We are thrilled to announce that with the generous giving of many of our partners, we have helped Habitat exceed their original goal and raise over half a million dollars!
A huge thank you to those that contributed to this outstanding achievement.
It was great to go full circle on a project that started last year with an upgrade to the community garden next door to this Kāinga Ora development and finished with a site tour for a very special guest this month.
We were honoured to have Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, along with Housing Minister Dr Megan Woods and other members of the parliamentary team visit our recently completed project in Riccarton, Ōtautahi. A big thank you to Nico from Wright Wire Electrical who represented one of 41 of the supported apprentices from our build partner network who worked on the project. Nico enjoyed the opportunity to meet and talk with our guests.
It was great to be able to close out this 13-home build of one, two, three and four-bedroom homes before handover to the new residents.
A big thank you to Matt, Tony, Tendy, Clarito, Roldan, Rosendo, Marcus and Scott from the Home team for your mahi on the project, and a special thanks to Chris Stevens for hosting the site tour.
We have nine more new homes coming to Onehunga, Auckland. The foundations, framing and exteriors are all being installed now. These homes range from four and five-bedroom houses, that will each provide a warm, safe haven for multi-generational families. We look forward to having these completed later this year.
