We had the privilege to spend three days attending the Community Housing Aotearoa Ngā Wharerau o Aotearoa wānanga, with over 450 passionate, hard working, and incredibly bright rangatahi and tangata from across the sector.

The message from the entire sector is that despite the overwhelming (and growing) need, there are innovative solutions being worked on, collaborative developments underway, and most importantly many more homes coming. But with a little more help from policy makers at all levels, the sector could be doing significantly more to genuinely solve our housing crisis.

The Home NZ team is doing its part, and during the conference the Home team completed the delivery of these 6 homes, on top of the already 30 they have delivered so far this year. There is still another 220 still on track for delivery by the Home team and its partners by the end of the year.
