home. wins gold at the 2016 Master Builders House of the Year
home was awarded Gold at the Master Builder's House of the Year 2016 awards for a property in Tai Tapu, Canterbury, designed and built in collaboration with Dalman Architects.

The 486 sqm family home, which overlooks the Canterbury plains and rolling hills of Banks Peninsular, received high praise by the judges for its attention to detail, and innovative design and functionality.
The awards judge the best houses built each year from across the country. The judges go through each property and decide on the score against a set criteria for its category. The scoring is based 65% on workmanship and 35% on style and functionality.
Each property is judged against a scorecard of 2,000 points (1,300 Workmanship and 700 Design, Style and Functionality). Properties are then awarded either Gold, Silver, Bronze or no award according to the achievement of the following scores:
Gold – a minimum score of 1,800 out of a possible 2,000. Judged to be at least 80% above the industry standard.
Silver – a minimum score of 1,650 out of a possible 2,000. Judged to be at least 65% above the industry standard.
Bronze – a minimum score of 1,500 out of a possible 2,000. Judged to be at least 50% above the industry standard.
Achieving the Gold award standard is a very difficult hurdle, and a wonderful recognition to receive.
